Welcome to Poway Wrestling

The Poway Wrestling Foundation supports wrestling in Poway, California by sponsoring the Poway Slammers kids wrestling club and serving as the booster club for the Poway High School wrestling team.

Poway Slammers Kids Wrestling

The Poway Slammers Kids Wrestling Club provides youth ages 5 to 14 (8th grade) an opportunity to learn and develop their wrestling skills. The season runs from October until early March. Registration for the 2013-14 season is closed. Sign-ups for the 2014-15 season will begin next September. Check back then for more information and on-line registration. California State Tournament

The CIF State Wrestling Tournament will be held at the Rabobank Center in Bakersfield on Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th. Brackets for the State Tournament are avilable here.

CIF Masters Championships - 2015 Team Champions

CIF Masters Tournament - With 12 wrestlers in the finals of the CIF Master Tournament, Poway won 8 individual champions and qualified 13 wrestler for the State Tournament in Bakersfield. Poway won the team title with 356 team points. La Costa Canyon was second with 208 team points. Full results are available on Track Wrestling.

CIF Division II Championship - The Titans won CIF Division II Championship with a team score of 370.5. La Costa Canyon placed second with 211 team points. Poway had all 14 wrestlers in the finals. Thirteen won championships. You can watch the semi-finals and finals on the Livestream website. Full results are on Track Wrestling.

CIF San Diego Section Girls Wrestling Championships - Caitlin Lamouree placed second at 113 pounds losing to Brawley in the finals while pinning her other two opponents. She lost in the finals to Tori Smith of Brawley after separating her shoulder and breaking her clavicle. Despite her loss Caitlin qualified for State. A great accomplice for a sophomore in only her second year of wrestling. She closes out the season with a record of 25-6.

CIF Division II Dual Meet Championship - Poway won the newly reintroduced CIF Division II Dual Meet Championship with dual meet victories over Olympian, Vista, and Rancho Bernardo. In the quarterfinals, Poway defeated Olympian by a score of 71-0. Poway won its semifinal match against Vista by a score of 81-0. In the the finals, the Titan faced the Rancho Bernardo Broncos. The Titans won the match 58-9.

Titans Win Raul Huerta Memorial Tournament - Poway had thirteen placers including five champions as they won the Raul Huerta Memorial Tournament at Canyon Springs High School. The Titans scored of 361 team points. Citrus Hill High School placed second with 192 team points. Complete result are available on TMI's website. Poway Wins Battle for the Belt Tournament - Poway had twelve placers including four champions as they won the tough Battle for the Belt Tournament at Temecula Valley High School. The Titans scored of 297.5 team points. San Marino High School placed second with 146 team points. Complete result are available on TMI's website.

Titan's Win Valencia Tournament of Champions - Poway put six in the finals and came away with five champions and ten placers to win the Valencia Tournament of Champions with a team score of 300.5. Piedra Vista (NM) was second with a team score of 179.5. Complete result are available on TMI's website.

Poway Ranked 7th in the Nation - In the latest national rankings (week of December 21st) by Flowrestling, Poway is ranked 7th. The full list of rankings is available on the Flowrestling website.

Titans Win Back-to-Back Championships at the Reno TOC - The Titans had three All Americans, two individual champions, and eight placers as they won their second straight team championship at the very tough Reno Tournament of Champions. Poway led the team scores with 209 points over second place Mountain View, AZ with 168 points. Crook County, OR finished with 167 points in third place - Read more. Titans Dominate Hawks Nest Tournament - The Titans put 12 wrestlers in the finals at the Hawks Nest Tournament at Citrus Hill High School. They won nine of those matches and won the team title with 381 team points. Citrus Hill placed second with 197.5 team points. Complete details are available on the Titan Results page. Titans Defeat Temecula Valley - The Titans dominated the Golden Bears winning the dual meet 69 to 0.

Titans Win the Sidney Eagle Invitational - The Titans traveled to Sidney, Montana to participate in the Eagle Invitational Tournament on December 5th and 6th. They won the tournament with 337 team point. In second place was Sidney High School followed by Lake Stevens High School (Washington) in third. The Titans had 12 wrestlers in the finals with 8 of them winning championships. Complete details are available on the Titan Results page.
